Barbara June Bryant

Barbara June Bryant, age 76, of Cumberland Gap, TN was born December 27, 1944 and passed away Monday, June 14, 2021. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Barbara was a very devoted Christian. On Sundays, all the children knew that they would get plenty of candy because Ms. Barbara would always take them plenty of it. During the COVID-19 pandemic and for any other reason that church services was canceled, she would still go to church on time and just sit there and pray. Barbara worked for Dr. Corum for 40 years and outside of work she enjoyed shopping and cherished all the time that she would spend with her grandson Cody.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Roy and Elizabeth (Goodman) West, loving husband of 50 years; Carl Bryant, brothers; Douglas West and wife Helen, Ron West and wife Darlene, Cecil West, sisters; Betty Goins and husband James, Lou Baker and husband Bill, and her sister whom she raised as her own; Francis “Sissy” West, brother-in-law; Lonnie Beeler.

She is survived by her son; Carl Bryant, grandson; Cody Bryant, brothers; Ben West and wife Della, Frank West and wife Wanda, sisters; Phyllis Smith and husband David, Patricia Beeler. She also survived by several nieces, nephews, all of her church family and many other friends.

Family and friends will meet at 4:45 PM Friday, June 18, 2021 for 5PM graveside services at Mountainview Cemetery with Rev. David Fuson officiating. Music will be provided by Providence Church Singers. The church family will serve as pallbearers.
