Barbara Ann Gray Asher

Barbara Ann Gray Asher, 65, of Arjay, KY went home to Her Lord on Friday, December 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Pineville on July 29, 1953, a daughter of the late William Henry Gray and Alice Smith Gray. She was a member of Green Camp Pentecostal Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Paul Fields, twin granddaughters, Charity Lee Fields and Chasity Lynn Fields; two brothers, Walter Gray and Billy Ray Gray and a sister, Phyllis June Bowman. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Bobby Asher of Arjay; her children and their spouses, Brian and Patrisha Fields of Arjay, Dionne and Garrett Saylor of Arjay and Scotty and Gracie Fields of Arjay; her brother, Henry Gray of Louisville; her grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Misty (Dustin) Beverly, Brian Allen (Brittany) Fields, Cody Brittany) Saylor, Tasha (Steven) Simpson, Shana (Bradley) Taylor and Ethan Fields; her great-grandchildren, which she said were her little blessing from Heaven, Gracie Beverly, Isaac and Harper Fields; Madison, Macie and Coley Paul Simpson, Aubrey and Alyssa Saylor and Scarlett Rose Taylor, all of Arjay; special friends, Hazel Taylor, whom we would like to thank for always being good to our mom and Brenda Nida, who Barb loved very much and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Morris and Rev. Gary Wagner. Music will be by Rosemary Jones, Julie and Gary Wagner. Burial will be in the Lower Big Jim Cemetery at Arjay with Brian Allen Fields, Cody Saylor, Ethan Fields, Steve Simpson, Dustin Beverly and Bradley Taylor serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Miracle and Benji Gray. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Asher Family.
