Bailey Jessie Jones

Bailey Jessie Jones, 81 of Ewing, formerly of Calvin, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at his home. He was born in Stearns on September 18, 1942, a son of the late Jesse and Dena Mae Stephens Jones. He was a deacon at the Elydale Primitive Baptist Church where he loved and served the Lord by living by The Word. Bailey loved cooking for his family, was a member of the 37th VA Infantry Civil War Reenactment and had worked as the Maintenance Coordinator for Bell County School Systems.

Bailey is survived by his wife, Geneva Miracle Jones; children, Tammy Capps and William Jones; grandchildren, Megan Thurmond, Alex Capps, Connor Jones, Rachel Jones, and Tori Jones; great-grandchildren, Coraline Jones, Gavin Thurmond, Ansley Thurmond, Ledger Thurmond, Evelynn Capps, and Ryker Gabbard; siblings, Elmer Jones, Forest Jones, Alfred Jones, Donald Jones, Denver Jones, and Linnie Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Dorton and Bro. Odell Wilson presiding. Burial will follow in the Sil Wilder Cemetery in Calvin. Pallbearers will be Bill Wilder, Chris Warren, Alex Capps, Alan W. Sharp, Steven Sharp, and Connor Jones.
