Axie Gibson Wilson

Axie Marie Gibson Wilson, 83, of Barbourville, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 at her home. She was born in Bell County on November 2, 1929 a daughter of the late Guital and Arizona Maiden Gibson. She was a member of Salem #2 Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barnett Wilson; a daughter, Roxie Scott; grandson, Leo Michael Cox; brothers and sisters, Thurman Gibson, Robert Gene Gibson, Armelda Wells and Parah Burndt. Survivors include her children, Jerry Wilson, Lucy Westrick, Arizona Wilson, Tammy Wilson, Selby Wilson and David Wilson; grandchildren, Joe Cox, Leeroy Johnson, Ella Marie Cox, Jeffrey Scott, Jenine Sullivan, Anthony Wilson, Leisa Scott and Alex Westrick; great-grandchildren, Khyrsha Cox, Hunter Cox, Jacob Cox Deonna Cox, Gabriel Westrick, Leam Kirk Sullivan and Scott Johnson; brothers and sisters, Willis Gibson, Hargis Gibson, Jeweldean Mason, Tovi VanWrinkle, Christina Johnson and Sarah Roberts and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
