Arthur Gibson, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his home in Pineville. He was born in Clear Creek , on January 30, 1930 son of the late Riley and Estella Bull Gibson. He was a construction worker for the Hoskins Electric Company and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Gibson Miracle. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Katherine Collins Gibson; children, Connie Thompson and husband, Noah, Rev. Paul Gibson and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Paul and Edna Gibson, Heather and Derrick Jackson, Ryan Reed, Melissa and Joseph Collett and Keith and Alicia Thompson; five great-grandchildren, a special friend Odean Fuson and a host of other relatives and friends. A special thanks to Harmony Missionary Baptist Church for all the love and care. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Hall and Rev. Mark Sutton. Music will be by the Harmony Church Choir. Burial will follow in the Peavley Cemetery at Clear Creek. Pallbearers will be Paul Gibson, Derrick Jackson, Ryan Reed, Joseph Collett, Keith Thompson and Bradley Fuson. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 9 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Gibson Family.
