Arnold “Bugs” Wilder, Jr., “Amos” to his circle of friends, age 73, Passed away at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Pineville on April 14, 1951, a son of Arnold and Geneva Cox Wilder. He was a member of Blackmont Baptist Church and had been a coal miner. Arnold loved fishing hunting and all his friends and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth “Libby” Wilder; sister, Pat Gilbert; and brother, Daryle Wilder.
Arnold is survived by his children, Kristy Emery and husband, George and Richard Wilder and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, William Frank (Ashley) Emery, Charlie Colton Wilder and Emma Marie Ramsey; great-granddaughter, Memphis Rose Ramsey; sisters, Beatrice Ronnie Gambrel, Sharon Gail (Keith) Barton, and Carolyn Sue (Terrell) Gibson; sister-in-law, Sue K. Qualls and Patty (David) Shelby; special uncle, Danny “June Bug” Wilder; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Howard and Rev. Terrell Gibson. The music will be by Terrell and Carolyn Gibson. The burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery at Calloway. Pallbearers will be Steve Hudson, Adam Frederick, William Emery, Colton Wilder, Michael Gambrel and Jeremiah Gibson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Brown, Junior Brown, Sie Craig, Danny (“Junebug” Wilder), Gary Calloway, Oscar Frederick, and Robert Miracle.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 1:00 Pm until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
