Arnold "Doc" Saylor

Arnold 'Doc' Saylor, 81, of Beverly, KY passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Middlesboro ARH. He was born in Beverly on July 15, 1938, a son of the late Charlie and Ida Knuckles Saylor. He was a member of the Stoney Fork United Methodist Church and worked as a Stock Man at Food City for many years. Doc lived a unique life and was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Doc loved riding around the area on his motor scooter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a long-time friend, Elaine Lambert; brothers and sisters, Elsie Reese Shafer, Clyde Saylor, Oliver Saylor, Charles Saylor, JB Saylor, RD Saylor, Earl Saylor and Arthur Saylor. Survivors include his sister, Dorothy Saylor Brock; special nephew and his wife, Ronnie and Loretta Brock and family who took care of him for the last several years; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Gross. Music will be by Kathy Brock. Burial will be in the Mud Lick Cemetery at Beverly, Kentucky with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Saylor Family.
