Argie Lee "Early" Taylor

Argie Lee “Early” Taylor, born on September 14, 1921, left this world for her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, being 103 years, 7 months, and 2 days old. Argie was a believer in the Baptist Faith and had been a member of the Varilla Baptist Church. She had been a homemaker. Her secret to living a long life in her words was keeping busy, keeping moving, and washing your hands. She was a strong woman who loved her family enough to correct them when needed up to her last breath.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Hugh Taylor; daughter, Freda Fay Taylor; son, Elmer Lee Taylor; granddaughter, Debra Ann Miracle McRoberts; great grandson, John Ryan Massey; parents, John and Sudie Philpot Early; brothers, Robert, Elmer, Colman, Johnny, Estle, and Luther Early; sisters, Mary Denny and Ollie Emery; sons-in-law, Harold Miracle and Homer Wilder; and daughter-in-law, Karen Taylor.

Argie leaves behind to mourn her passing, brother, Cecil Early; her children, Dell  "JC" Lee. Taylor, Geneva Miracle, Dortheda Wilder, Wanda and Mark Daniels, Roy Taylor, Lola and George Ervin, Dolores and Alfred Manente; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 45 great-great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville with Rev. Earl Hensley and Rev. Mike Fee presiding. Burial will follow at the Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darryl Wilder, Jay Ervin, Wayne Ervin, David Finley, Jeremy Heller, and Robert Wardell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Massey, Todd Fox, Eddie Osban, JT Fox, Mike Etapa, Andrew Rudy, Joey Rudy ,Troy Armstrong and Mark Baker.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Taylor Family.
