Ann (Duncil) Marable

Ann Duncil Marable, 93, of Tazewell, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 20, 1932 in Democrat, Kentucky and was a daughter of the late Henry and Nannie Tolliver Duncil. Ann had been a business woman and owned and operated many different interests during her life but, her favorite job of all was being a homemaker and mother. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age at the Whitesburg Baptist Church in Kentucky and currently was a member of Twin City Baptist Church in Tazewell. She loved volunteering her time at Manna House Outreach Center, where she did so for 20 years.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Finis Marable; her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Jay Rice; and her siblings, Betty Jo Duncil, Raymond Duncil, Melvin Duncil, Ellis Duncil, Judd Duncil, Macie Warf, Mollie Caudill and Bonnie Holbrook.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Perry and husband, Carl of Speedwell, TN; son, Mark Nichols and wife, Teresa of Tazewell; grandchildren, Scott Perry and wife, Rachel, Adam Perry, Isaiah Nichols and wife, Kayla, Sophia Nichols, Olivia Nichols, Tiffany Gossett and husband, Mike, and Jason Rice and wife, Stacy; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Perry, Alex Gossett, Amy Gossett, Christopher Rice and Matthew Rice; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Todd Peoples officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountainview Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate, which is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Ann Marable.
