Anida Jarvis Souleyret, 99, passed away on February 5, 2014 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on December 6, 1914 a daughter of the late Andrew and Vada Burgin Jarvis. She was a member of the East Jellico Baptist Church at Ingram. Anida retired from the Bell County School system in 1978 after 34 years of teaching, with 33 of those years at Lone Jack Elementary. She was a member of the Bell County Retired Teachers Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Clyde Eugene Souleyret; brothers, Joe, Hubert, Billie and Roy; sisters, Bonnie, Minnie and Wilma; friends James and Kathleen Hendrickson. She is survived by two daughters, Mildred Souleyret and Rosemary (Lonnie) Rickett of Four Mile; two grandchildren, Lonnie Wayne (Cathy) Rickett of Williston, North Dakota and Monique Marie Bailey of Four Mile; five great-grandchildren, April Dawn (Mitch) Huff, Easley, SC; Andrew Stephen Rickett, Plentywood, Montana; Amanda Marie, Ashley Danielle and Alan Ryan Rickett of Williston ND; one great-great-grandchild, Natalie Grace Huff, Easley, SC; sisters-in-law, Mildred Jarvis, Kingston, TN and Lucille Souleyret, Harlan, KY; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert Hughes and Dr. Bill Helton. Music will be by Evylene Goodin. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens , Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Gary Brooks, Ricky Dunn, Arnold Fuson, Bobby Ray Hendrickson, Edward Jones, George Lewis, Donald Reefer, Mike Sproles and Bobby Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Rickett, Lonnie W. Rickett, Mitch Huff, Andrew Rickett, G.K. VanBever, Bill McGeorge, Jack Coign, John Mills, Ralph Souleyret, Jr., Sonny Jarvis, Randy Walters, Jimmy Brooks, Bob Winton Brooks, Andy Buell, Mike Buell and Dr. Jerry Woolum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center , Pineville, which is honored to serve the Souleyret Family.
