Andy Philpot, Jr., 77, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at his home. Andy was born on January 27, 1948, to the late Ruby Bray and Andy Philpot, Sr. Andy was a member of the Molus Pentecostal Church, before retiring he was an Electrician for Appolo Fuels and worked in the coal industry for a majority of his life. Andy had a deep love for the Lord, finding joy in reading the Bible and spending time in prayer. The outdoors brought him happiness, as he took great pleasure in tending to his lawn and nurturing his flowers and plants. A skilled handyman, he was truly versatile, having built his family's first home with pride and recently renovating his current residence. Being a good neighbor was important to him, and he was happy and willing to lend a helping hand to others in his community.
In addition to his parents, Andy is preceded in death by his brother, Denver Philpot, brothers and sisters in law, Robert and Libby Cox, Hilla and Alfred Henson, Lenice Cox, Judy Neal, Walt Washam, and Mike Lorance, as well as his Mother and Father in Law, Boyd and Lillie Cox.
Andy is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Betty Philpot, daughter and her husband, Ann and Ray Stepp, grandchildren, Dalton and Logan Stepp, brothers and sisters; Rose Washam, Wanda and Jerry McGeorge, William and Myrtle Philpot, Marsha and Johnny Miracle, Sonny and Mary Philpot, and Jackie Lorance. Brothers and Sisters in Law, Belinda Cox, Virgie and Clarence Brock, Ella and Elmer Neal, Junior Neal, Pearlie and Jim Stewart, and Letch and Lisa Cox. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, with Rev. Ray Stepp officiating. Music will be provided by Shawn Stepp and Whitney Collett. Interment will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, with Ray Stepp, Dalton Stepp, Logan Stepp, Letch Cox Jr. (Hogie), Jacob Miller, and Keith Fuson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers of the Molus Pentecostal Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour, the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home in Pineville.
