Andrew James Hobbs

Andrew James Hobbs, 56, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Pineville on July 25, 1959 a son of the late Elmer and Ethel Jackson Hobbs. He had worked in carpentry at a mason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Dale Jackson, brothers and sisters, Gloria Suratt, Cora Lee Johnson, Claude Wendall Hobbs and Billie Jo Wilson and nephew, Vernon 'Pumpkin' Gray. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Jackson Hobbs, children and their spouses, Brittany and Daniel Raines, AJ and Krystal Hobbs, John and Heather Hobbs; grandchildren, Dalton, Alex, Landon, Chelsea, Gabriel, Sam and Skylar; brothers and sisters, Shirley Gray, Buddy and Linda Hobbs, Sue Simpson and Wayne Hobbs and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be on Thursday, February 18, at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Elder Randall Miracle and Elder Woody Jackson. Burial will be in the Eugene Jackson Cemetery on Laurel Hill. Pallbearers will be Robbie Hobbs, Marty Gray, Jeffery Hobbs, Paul Hobbs, Blake Wilson and Daniel Raines. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Simpson and Homer Wilson.
