Ambers Preston Hendrickson, Jr.

Ambers Preston Hendrickson, Jr., 84, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. Junior was born on April 1, 1940, to the late Ambers Preston Hendrickson, Sr., and Bernice Jones. Ambers was a veteran of the United States Army and had worked as a heavy equipment operator. Junior was a member and Deacon of Ferndale Baptist Church. He was faithful in attendance and teaching Sunday school until his health deteriorated and kept him from going. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outdoors with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was quick to help anyone in need. He will be truly missed by everyone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Clyde Hendrickson, and the mother of his children Wilma J. Hendrickson.

He is survived by his son John J. Hendrickson of Pineville KY and daughters Debbie Hendrickson of Greer S.C., Theresa and Bill Bingham of Harrogate TN., and Kim Hendrickson and Steve Smith of Pineville KY. Grandchildren Preston and Amanda Pugh of Waynesville Ga., Alicia and Jay Manypenny of Honolulu Hi., Chris and Kristine Bingham of Harrogate TN, Chandra and Dusten Baker of Tazewell TN, Chelsea and Chris Meyers of Maryville TN, Ethan Smith of Pineville Ky, Alyssa Smith of Charleston WV., Great grandchildren Madie Pugh, Jaxson Pugh, KeyLee Manypenny, Kason Manypenny, Peyton Bingham, Kadie Bingham, Sofia Novacek, Nicholas Bingham, Nevaeh Baker, Sammy Baker, and Harper Baker and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Clarence Mason officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, with Ethan Smith, John Hendrickson, Bill Bingham, Dustin Baker, Jon Warf, and Chris Bingham serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
