Amanda Renee' "Mandi" Marcum

The loving spirit of Amanda Renee' 'Mandi' Marcum, 33, of Middlesboro, came into this world on December 1, 1981 and went home to the sweet embrace of our Lord on October 19, 2015. She had never seen a challenge not worth taking or a friend not worth making, blessed with an unparalleled passion for life, love and humor. With an infectious smile and bubbly personality, she graduated from Middlesboro High School with the class of 2000 and worked in several caregiver roles during her life span. Mandi's love for people and life led to her involvement with Mercy Mission, Upward Bound and several academic clubs where she made lasting relationships. Mandi professed her faith in God at an early age and was an active member of the youth group at church. Mandi is best remembered for her love of the mountains she called 'home,' her beautiful laugh, her stunning physical beauty and her free spirit. She was met in heaven by her grandparents, Virginia and Hugh L. Marcum, Eura Pearl and Warren T. Steagall. Left to mourn her are her beautiful children, Khearsa Ariyona Asher, Kainyn Dwayne Kieh Asher and Harley Greyson Cruz Marcum; father of the children, Earl Dwayn Asher; her loving parents, Linda and Tommy Marcum; her sister, Sarah (John) Keener; nieces, Isabella, Abigail and Fallyn; uncles, Terry W. Steagall, Hugh L. Marcum, Jr., Paul Anthony Marcum, Sr., Bobby Joe Marcum, Sr. and Dwayne 'Eddy' Marcum. Her favorite cousin, Josh Marcum, special friends, Stacey Dunn and Pam Goins and an abundance of friends and family left to miss her. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 7 at 4:00 PM at Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Greene. The family will receive friends from 3 until the service at the Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church, Middlesboro.
