Alvin Brock, Sr.

Alvin Brock, Sr., 62 a lifelong resident of Brock Hollow, in Pineville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the Pineville Community Health Center. He was born in Pineville on February 22, 1961, and was the son of the late Marlin and Nettie Dishman Brock. Alvin had been a carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Marie Hubbard, Bill Brock, Ronnie Brock, and Marlin “Buddy” Brock, Jr.

Alvin is survived by his children, Alvin Brock, Jr. and his wife, April, Sabrina Brock and her life partner, Eric Johnson, and Jeff Settles and his wife, Danielle; fourteen grandchildren; longtime life partner, Sandra K. Dixon; siblings, Norma Napier, Diane Saylor, Angie Wolfgang, Joey Brock, and Mickey Brock; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Williams and Rev. David Hager officiating. Music will be provided by Stephanie and David Hager. Burial will follow in the Brock Family Cemetery in Brock Hollow with Alvin Brock, Jr., Mickey Brock, Jonathan Brock, Eric Brock, Joey Brock, and Adam Grubbs serving as pallbearers.
