Alice Saylor

Alice Hubbard Saylor, 91 of Kettle Island, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at her home. She was born in Beverly on June 8, 1931, a daughter of the late Jim and Nancy Baker Hubbard. Alice was a member of the Saylor Pentecostal Holiness Church in Crockett and the Jenson Pentecostal Holiness Church. She had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Saylor; sons, Emanuel Saylor, Jr., and Donnie Saylor; grandsons, Robert Saylor and Bo Saylor; granddaughter, Jacklyn Smith; brothers, Cecil Hubbard and Junior Hubbard; and sisters, Maudie Brock, Helen Saylor, Della Mae Napier, Marie Taylor, and Sally Painter.

Alice is survived by her children, Freda June Taylor, Charlotte Marie Smith, Jordan Lee and Deloris Saylor, Bobbie Lynn and Bill Mitchell, James Edward and Deanna Saylor, Clifford and Jennifer Saylor; sister, Lydia Saylor; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the Saylor Pentecostal Holiness Church in Crockett with Rev. Richard Long, Rev. Ronnie Hoskins, and Rev. Richard Asher presiding. Music will be provided by the Church Family. Burial will follow in the Emanuel Saylor Family Cemetery in Kettle Island. Pallbearers will be Kevin Brock, Dustin Simpson, Jacob Smith, Kenton Brock, Gabriel Clem, Blake Caldwell, Isaiah Brown, and Shawn Brown.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and from 8:30 PM until the funeral hour at the Saylor Pentecostal Holiness Church in Crockett.
