Alice Caldwell

Alice Caldwell, 76 of Bledsoe, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. She was born on October 18, 1946, a daughter of the late Elmer and Virgie Thompson Whitehead. Alice had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Earl Caldwell; sisters, Betty Whitehead Elrod and Janice Whitehead Whalen; grandparents Dewey and Sarah Jane Belcher Thompson and Taylor Sr. “Big Daddy” and Katherine “Mamie” Caldwell Whitehead; special friend, Thomas Ray “Huck” Branham; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Alice is survived by her son, James Edward “Jamie” Caldwell, Jr.; daughter, Alyshia Nicole Hope Caldwell; granddaughters, Elizabeth Louise Caldwell, April Branham (Cameron Everett), and Zendaya Fanney; grandsons, Matthew Thomas Branham (Casey Washburn), Richard Keith Branham (Hilary Hobbs), Daniel Miller (Katelynn Miller), Jaden Fanney, Christian Fanney, and Keshawn Fanney; great-granddaughters, Leigha LaCombe, Raylen Branham, Riley Branham, Heaven Shea Branham, Rachael Miller, and Annabelle Miller; great-grandsons, Ayden LaCombe, Brian LaCombe, Raiden Everett, Tyler Settles, Levi Miller, and Gabriel Miller; sisters, Bernice Whitehead Harris and Wilma Whitehead Ogan; brothers, Fred Whitehead, Taylor Whitehead and Ronnie Elmer Whitehead; special daughter-in-law, Kathy Carroll Caldwell; special neighbor and friend, Janice Taylor; special friends, Maryann Partin Miller and George Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Lowe presiding. Music will be provided by Alyshia Caldwell, Darrell Lowe, Minnie and Edward Spanski. Burial will follow at the Salt Trace Cemetery in Bledsoe. Pallbearers will be Matthew Branham, Richard Branham, and Cameron Everett.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Caldwell Family.
