Rev. Albert Maiden, 98, of Centers Branch, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at his daughter's home at Buffalo. He was born in Big Clear Creek on April 25, 1914, a son of the late Jim and Laura Gibson Maiden. He was a member of Centennial Baptist Church. He had worked at the Courthouse and the jail as a janitor and had worked with the 'Happy Pappy Gang.' In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Harrison Maiden; brothers and sisters, Robert, Jerma and Tilman Maiden, Arizona Gibson , Mary Bays, Sarah Crawford, Matilda Fuson and Rosabelle Mason. Survivors include his children and their spouses, J.C. and Connie Maiden, Albert, Jr. and Mavis Maiden; Tilman and Joyce Maiden, Finley Lowell and Brenda Maiden; Edward and Sharon Maiden; Lonnie and Marilyn Maiden; Ronnie and Christy Maiden; Freddie Ray Maiden; Juanita and James Daniels and Lillie Logan and Larry Miracle; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
