Albert Chumley, age 84 passed away at his home November 7, 2008 after a short illness of about 3 months being in hospice care. He was a veteran of World War II, retired from Norris Homes, and was a farmer most of his life. He was an active member of The Tazewell Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years Lillian McDowell Chumley

Sons: Ray Chumley (& wife Bonnie)

Lynn Chumley (& wife Carol)

Grandchildren: Bobby, Phillip, and Timmy Chumley, Michelle Richardson (& husband Perry)

Great grandchildren: Cody, Derek and Jamie Richardson

all of Speedwell

Sisters: Juanita McDowell of Tazewell, Maggie Kidds of Etowah, TN and Morine Asher of Indiana.

And a host of special nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by 3 brothers: Clayton Chumley, Roy Chumley and Daniel Chumley.

Father; James Chumley and Mother; Callis Cline Chumley.

Funeral services will be 8 PM Monday November, 10 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Minister Jim Callahan and Phillip Chumley officiating. Music: congregational.

Burial 11 am Tuesday in The Chumley Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers: Bobby Chumley, Phillip Chumley, Timmy Chumley, Derek Richardson, Jamie Richardson and Cody Richardson.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 Monday at Reece Funeral Home.
