Albert Roger Alvarado, Jr., (a/k/a 'Chico') died at home on January 27, 2014 after a long illness. He was born to Diana Taylor Alvarado Neff and Albert Roger Alvarado, Sr. on May 29, 1961 in Pontiac, Michigan. He attended Emanuel Baptist Christian School in Pontiac, Michigan; Roosevelt Elementary in Keego Harbor, MI; Blackmont Elementary, Bell County High School and Western Kentucky University. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, being stationed mostly in Spain and worked for United States Senator Walter D. Huddleston (KY) in Washington, D.C. Albert spent almost all his life working at various construction jobs, doing carpentry, electrical and plumbing work. After working at England's in New Tazewell for a number of years, Albert developed an incredible upholstery talent and with his own artistic ability, did boat, motorcycle, auto, airplane and furniture upholstery that was second to none. He was always the one with the biggest smile on his face and always had a laugh and a joke when he greeted you. He was full of life and loved to be with his friends and family, and if he could cook for fifty people, he was the happiest. Albert would go out of his way to help someone in need, even if it meant he did without. He visited his mother, Diana, in Michigan often and really looked forward to those times and when he went golfing with his stepfather, Phil. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mount and Pauline Taylor, his father, Albert Alvarado, Sr.; his wife, Sherri Hill Alvarado, and his little brother, Kevin James Lynch. He is survived by his mother, Diana Neff and Phillip Neff, his step-father and main golfing buddy; his brother, Michael Taylor of Middlesboro, Kentucky; his sister, Pamela Lynch of Middlesboro, Kentucky; his daughter, Toni Renee Alvarado (Ken Reihart), and Toni's children, Adrienne Mikayla Marie Crawford and Abigail Victoria Alvarado of Kingston, New York; his daughter, Shana Faye Alvarado and son-in-law, Anthony William Marsee and his grandson, Alex William Joseph Marsee, who appears to be Albert's clone and his daughter, Donna Alexandria Alvarado of Ewing, Virginia and his pitbull, Tsunami (a/k/a Sue). His kids and grandchildren were his life and he lit up with joy when he was around the kids. Albert was a gypsy, he lived and worked in Florida, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington State, California and Washington, D.C. He is also survived by a host of family and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Boyd Bingham, III. At Albert's request, he will be cremated following the services. The family will receive friends from 12 until the funeral hour on Friday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Alvarado Family. Visitation
