Adrian Shell

Adrian Shell, 77 of Tacky Town, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Harlan, KY, on February 24, 1942 to the late Cuba Sergent Shell & A.D. Shell. He believed in the Christian Faith. Adrian loved to fish and garden. He was full of life and always had a positive outlook. He loved his dogs Pumpkin and Cricket and was always willing to try a new adventure. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by brothers, Jesse Shell of Corbin, KY, Ike Shell, (Infant), sisters, June Shell, of Harlan, KY, Ruth Shell Smith, Of Florida, Daisy Shell McLeory, of Texas, and Florene Shell of KY. Also, a close friend and Brother-in-law, Olan Whitehead. Adrian is survived by a brother, Kenneth "Kenny" Shell, of Tacky Town, Hattie Shell Whitehead, of Tacky Town, Ruby Shell Dunn of Harrogate, TN., Viola Shell Middleton, of Harlan, Ky., and Billy Sue Shell Barton, of Bradford Town, KY, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday May 26, 2019 at the Arnett & Steele funeral home with Rev. Paul Bailey, Rev. David Dunn, and Rev. Clifton Caldwell officiating. Music will be by his niece, Whitney Caldwell and the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends for viewing on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. before the funeral. A burial service will immediately follow the funeral at the Sergent Family Cemetery in Woodbine, KY. In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to Arnett and Steele Funeral home to help cover burial expenses.
