Ada Mae Helton Lawson

Ada Mae Helton Lawson, 78, of Stoney Fork, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 1915 at her home. She was born in Stoney Fork, on January 16, 1937 a daughter of the late Carter and Polly Saylor Helton. Ada was a member of the Stoney Fork Pentecostal Church and had been a home. She was a loving wife and special mother to her two children, but she raised many other children, including nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Helton, Ida Brock and husband, Homer and a brother, JC Helton. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Eugene Lawson; daughter, Shirley Schael; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Toni Lawson; grandchildren, Marc Allen Schael; Danielle Nicole Schael; Jeremiah Lawson and Jarett Lawson; great-grandchild, Kaiden Rogers; brother, Hugh Helton; nieces and nephews, Mona Lisa Holman, Janis White, Deloris Mercier, Barb Helton, Meghan Gray, Chris Helton, Charles Brock, Ernest Brock, Gary Brock, Mike Helton and Carl Forester; special friends, Bertha and Bobby Wilson, Jeff and Sandra Baker, Louise and Lester Saylor, Carol Lawson, Willadene Barley, Shirley Taylor, Alvie Helton, Janice Brock, Farmer and Donna Helton, Whitney Bailey, Connie and Sissy Brock and Mossie and a host of other relatives and friends. Special appreciation is given to her Dr. Mohan, Dr. Lee and their staffs for their care and compassion. Funeral services for Family and friends will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Don Messer, Rev. Jeff Baker and Ernest Brock. Music will be by Faye Messer. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery . Pallbearers will be Tim Lawson, Mark Allen Schael, Jeremiah Lawson, Jarett Lawson, Duane Mercier and Ernest Brock.
