Virginia A. 'Polly' Brooks Inman, 69 of Middlesboro, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born in Middlesboro on April 9, 1945 a daughter of the late Doyle and Bertha Goley Brooks. She had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Inman; son, Chuck Sweat; daughter, Bobbie Ruth Bible; brother, Macarthur Brooks; sister; Shelby Jean Davis; nephew, Jeff Davis and sister-in-law, Ruth Barnett. Survivors include her children, Andy and Kim Sweat; Glenn and Melissa Sweat, Jim Sweat; Lori and Donald Coots; Margaret and Tony Jones; Kathy and Eddie Buttery; Mickie and Neal Smith; Robert and Becky Inman and Cindy and Doug Bayless; grandchildren, Adam Sweat, Alex Sweat, Chastity Partin (Robert Brock) Kadence Sweat; Nathan Brock; Neveah Brock; John Sweat; Daniel Sweat; Chandler Walker; Harper Walker; Ashley York; Judith Shelton; Sam Shelton; Michelle McCullough, Christopher Mize; Alex McCullough; Austin Johnson, Ella May; Chloe Mize; Jamie Coots; Dakota Davis; Tanner Sharp; Zoe Sweat; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Carolyn and Alvey Buell and Bill Brooks; nieces and nephews, Billy Joe Davis, Christie Hickman; John Etta (Kenny) Gwaltney; Steve Davis; Rex Davis; Doug Brooks; Donna Kay Brooks and Joseph Perdue; brother-in-law, Rev. Robert Barnett; cousins, Raymond and Brenda Sweat and family; special friends, Susie Givens of California; Thelma Moore of Middlesboro; Shirley Wilcox; Apple and Joan Adkins; and a many more friends and relatives. At her request, Mrs. Inman was cremated at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville. No services are scheduled at this time. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Inman.
