Paul Marvin York, 84, of Arjay, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Clinton, TN. He was born in Slusher, KY on January 15, 1927 a son of the late Walter and Virgie Napier York. He believed in the Baptist faith. He had worked as a coal miner for 20 years and had been a member of UMWA. He served in the United States Army from March, 1945 until June 1947 in Japan and Germany during WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wiggins York; brothers, James Robert York, Raymond York and John Sherman York. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Wayne Copper; grandson, Captain Casey Wayne Copper; sisters, Ellen Ward and Lucy Carnes and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
