Juanita Helton

Juanita Helton, 93 of Hulen, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at her home. She was born in Deland, Florida on May 9, 1927, a daughter of the late Boyd and Josephine Withrow Howard. Juanita attended the Pathfork Holiness Church and had been a nurse's aide for Harlan ARH. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Wade Helton; her brother, Boyd F. Howard; her sister, Azalee Nunn; and her half-brother, Gary Howard. Juanita is survived by her husband, Ferman Helton; her sons, Johnny Boyd Helton and wife, Dora, and Glenn Nolan Helton and wife, Charlotte; her daughters, Aberia Kidwell and husband, Tony, and Katherin Hoskins and husband, Larkin; her daughter-in-law, Lena Helton; her half-brother, Johnny Howard; her half-sister, Kathy Sams; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Pathfork Holiness Church with Rev. Robert Lee presiding. Music will be provided the church. Burial will follow at the Upland/Howard Cemetery in Hulen. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
