Carolyn Asher

Carolyn Garland Asher, age 63, of Arjay, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born February 21, 1947 a daughter of the late Robert (Popeye) and Troy Garland. She believed in the holiness faith and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Orville Asher; grandparents, Robert and Mary Jane Garland and Ell and Stella Lewis Sizemore; sister, Maxine Garland Taylor, one special niece, Lisa Garland Carnes. Survivors include her sisters, Inez Garland, Pauline Patterson, Florence Stone, and Rosella James; special nephews, Robert Tolis, Anthony Patterson, Jonathan Patterson, Vance M. Miller, David Rhymer, Lloyd Hibbert, John Hibbert, Jeremiah Hibbert and Shane Patterson; nieces, Wendy P. Hernandez, Amy Hibbert, Brittany M. Miller, Diana Clouse, Carol Kay Patterson, Danielle Barnett and Amanda Barnett; special friends, Pauline Lewis Linger, Johnny Freeman, Thomas J.R. Phillips and Danny Cox.
