Amanda Myers Martin, 90, passed away Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 at Barbourville Heath and Rehab Center, Barbourville. She was born in Calvin, on January 3, 1925, a daughter of the Late Franklin and Etta Mae Wilder Myers. She had worked at Oakridge Nuclearl Laboratory during World War II and was a member at East Pineville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Jack Martin, daughter, Sandy James and sister, Mable Myers. Survivors include her children, Diane Branham, Randy Martin and wife, Joyce and Phillip Martin and wife, Alisha, five grandchildren, Casey Martin, Lauren Burns, Gerald Branham, Amanda Branham and Josh Branham, four great-grandchildren, Kennedi Branham, Nolan Jack Burns, Lilly Burns and Gwendolyn Martin, special friends, John Wayne McGeorge, Terry Miracle and Roger Branham. Services will be at 11:00 AM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Thompson. Burial will be in the Wilder-McGeorge Cemetery at Calvin. Pallbearers will be Casey Martin, Gerald Branham, Josh Branham, Roger Branham and Terry Miracle. The family will receive friends from 10 until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Martin Family.
