Claudette Blair Jones

Claudette Blair Jones, 81 of Kettle Island, formerly of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville. She was born in Whitesburg, KY on November 12, 1933 and was a daughter of the late Clifford Cecil and Gladys Amburgy Blair. Claudette was a believer in the Baptist faith and had worked as a Comptometor for Greyhound Bus Lines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Charles Jones; son, Larry Dean Jones; brothers, Douglas and Richard Blair and sister Marlene Martin. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Jones, Karen Karel and Kathy J. Clark; grandchildren, Leah Nelson, Lisa Nelson, Katherine Clark and Abigail Clark; sister-in-law, Fannie Howard and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Friday, January 23 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Howard. Music will be by Bennie Howard. Cremation will follow at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center in Pineville. Burial will be at the Bellevue Memorial Gardens in Daytona Beach at a later date. Donations in Claudette's memory are suggested to the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association.
