David Richard Philpot David Richard Philpot, 61, of Waddy, Kentucky, formerly of Jenson and raised in Pineville, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He was born in Jenson on August 12, 1950 a son of late Conley R. and Lucy Mae Crank Philpot. He worked for CSX as a trackman and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rickey Philpot.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara E. Nethery Philpot; son, Greg Haynes of Waddy; daughter, Vestina Valentorur of Shelbyville, KY ; three grandchildren, Desirae Valentorur, Anthony Valentorur and Kelsie Haynes; brothers and sisters, Larry Philpot, Teresa Philpot, Diane Ward, Barbara Ebbers, Robert Philpot and Linda Ferrell and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Information
Services will be 2PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Baker.
Burial will follow in the Jenson Cemetery with Gary Wayne Ferrell, David Szydlowski, Dennis Ward, Derrick Philpot, Trevor Goodin, Tommy Joe Nethery and Doug Smith serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon Wednesday until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Philpot family.
