Harold Dye, 75, of Hulen, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at his home. Born in Harlan County on May 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Lige and Nora Jones Dye. He had been a coal miner for over 25 years and was a member of the Southern Labor Union. He belonged to the Wallins Masonic Lodge #666. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Harold Mitchell Miracle; brothers and sisters, Dewight, Cecil, Ernest, Sam, Willie, Charlie and Edward Dye, Lillie Mae Dye and Dovie Ray. Survivors include his wife of 55years, Edith Faye Lawson Dye, children and their spouses, Margie and Larry Miracle of Pineville, Sandra and Al Webb of Calvin, Harold Glenn Dye of Hulen, Billy Bruce Dye of Ewing, Va and Kenneth Mark Dye of Hulen, grandchildren, Larry Allen Miracle, Jr., Jonathan Miracle, Adam Dye, Bradley Dye, Amanda Henderson, Adrienna Dye, Spencer Dye, Brittany Miracle, Mark Dakota Dye and Bernard Lee Dye; great-grandchildren, Mitchell Miracle, Sydney Miracle and Connor Miracle and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral InformationServices will be at 1:00 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. J.C. Craig, Rev. David Howard, Rev. Elmer DeRossett, Jr. and Rev. Hardy Franks. Music will be by Marjorie Moore, Kathy Brock and Soldiers of the Cross. Burial will be in the Tackett Hill Cemetery at Hulen. Pallbearers will be Billy Bruce Dye, Kenneth Mark Dye, Harold Glenn Dye, Spencer Dye, Adam Dye, Gary Dye, Bradley Dye, Allen Miracle, Jonathan Miracle, Joshua Miracle and Big Jim Lawson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Neil Barry, Karen McDaniels and Staff, Tommy Simpson, Middlesboro ARH Home Health Staff, Ben Clark, Sandy Marlow, Randy Rose, Larry Miracle and Al Webb. The family will receive friends from 5 until 9 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Dye Family. |
