Virginia Rebecca Smith Hall

Virginia Rebecca Smith Hall, 82, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Tri-State Health and Rehab Center in Harrogate. She was born in Pineville on September 11, 1925, the daughter of the late Oscar and Lucy Hoskins Smith. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Hall, sister, Juanita Carter and brothers, Edmond Smith, Bill Smith and Dan Smith.

Survivors include her children, Retha G. Brock, Larry Hall and wife, Anna and Pat Fulton and husband, Baylor; grandchildren, Scott Patterson, Stephanie Patterson, Will Maxwell and his wife, Heather, Jamie Jones, David Hall and Alicia Bowling and her husband, Aaron; great-granddaughter, Olivia Bowling; sister Hazel Smith Carter of Pineville, brother, James Smith of Beaverton, OR and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 8 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Sutton. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery at Pineville. Pallbearers will be Adam Carter, Jamie Jones, David Hall, Scott Patterson, Will Maxwell, Colson Napier and Steve Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Martha Combs Woolum, Dr. Steven Morgan and the staff of Tri-State Health Care.
