Tommy Murphy

Tommy Murphy, 72, of Centers Branch, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at his home. He was born in Blanche, KY on November 8, 1935, a son of the late James Frank and Rosie May Smith Murphy. He believed in the Baptist Faith and had worked for Chempack in Cincinnati and the Cynthiana Country Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna Jeannette Walden Murphy.

Survivors include his children, Allen Murphy of Pineville, Michael Murphy of Tazewell, Brenda Sue and Finley Maiden of Centers Branch, Phyllis Ann and Larry Vaughn of Centers Branch, Angela Murphy of Kenton, OH and Denisa Murphy Brooks of Bellefontaine, OH; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren; brother, James Andrew Murphy of Cleveland, OH; sister, Drucilla Arthur of Spartanburg, SC and several nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Bays. Burial will be in the Jenson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Scott Murphy, Finley Lowell Maiden, Jr., Marcus Anthony Maiden, James Michael Murphy, Tommy Lee Murphy and Finley Lowell Maiden. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Steven Morgan.
