Freida Mae Bingham Garland

Freida Mae Bingham Garland, 83,of Dorton Branch, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Dorton Branch on October 4, 1928 a daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Lipps Bingham..

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she had been a janitor for many years. She had worked at Ideal Laundry for over 25 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Garland, sisters, Bonnie Bingham, Mary Katherine Brice, Maggie Brice, Jewell Bingham, Geneva Bingham Kellems and Fannie Lefevers; brothers, Floyd Rowlett, Bill, Jim, Ed, Gus, Ray and Fred Bingham.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean and Frank Garrison; brother and sister-in-law, John William and Kay Bingham; special nieces, Janice W. Maynard, Pamela Mason and Brenda Engle; special nephew, Jesse Garland; special great-nieces, Leslie and Holly Garland and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 7:30 PM Sunday at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Tingle and Rev. Bill Wolfe. Music will be by Eugene Enix.

Burial will be in the Hickory Flats Cemetery, Dorton Branch. Pallbearers will be Larry Brock, Ronnie Brock, John Engle, Jim Gambrel, Danny Garrison, Garrett Garrison, Mike Mills and Junior Ray Mason. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Garrison and Warren Maynard.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 PM Sunday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Dorton Branch.
