Marr Hensley

Marr Hensley, 84, of Scottsburg, IN, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Ewing, VA on May 12, 1925 a son of the late Noble and Nancy (Ramsey) Hensley. He was a member of the Broadway Pentecostal Church in Austin, IN and had retired from Smith Cabinet in Salem, IN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Blanche Brown, Cora Cottrel and roxie Shultz and brothers, Charlie, Dow and Esaw Hensley.

Survivors include his wife,Goldie (Lawson) Hensley of Scottsburg, IN; sons, Jerry (ELona) Kirkland of Greenwood, IN and Noble (Cindy) Hensley of Hardinsburg, IN; sister, Millie White of Silver Springs, FL and brother, Sherman (Louann) Hensley of Fredericksburg, IN; granddaughters, Shana (Reed) Johnson, Angie (Rob) Langrel and Almitra Hensley, grandson, todd (Anne-Marie) Kirkland and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 11 AM Tuesday at the Black Star Pentecostal Church with Rev. J.C. Craig, Rev. Everett Eads and Dewell Perry. Burial will be in the Saylor Cemetery at Pathfork, KY. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 PM Saturday at the Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin, IN and Monday from 4 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville. Guestbook at www.buchananfuneralhome.net.
