Fred H. "Brother" Bush Fred H. “Brother” Bush, 88, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore KY. He was born in Kettle Island, KY, on September 30, 1919, the son of the late Fred and Phoebe Howard Bush. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pineville, he proudly served as a bomber pilot in both World War II and the Korean War. After service to his country he retired as an insurance adjuster.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Elmer V. Bush and wife Mertle and Harry Clinton Bush.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Florence Roe “Pokie” Wilson Bush of Pineville; children, F. Howard Bush, Jr. and wife Marilyn, Harry Bush and wife Louise and Deborah W. Bush Fritsch and husband Joe; sister, Ada Lee Smith; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Information
Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 21 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Howard. Cremation will follow the service at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Joe Thomas Smith, Howard Vernon Smith, Scott Madon, Brent Madon, Freddie Hunter, Gary “Skeeter” Warren, John Warren and Butch Pass. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Madon, Charles Grace, J.C. Helton, Wayne Bishop, Jim Roan, Glen Nolan Howard, Ford Wilson, Ed Wilson and Aubrey Bailey.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville which is in charge of all arrangements. Guestbook at www.arnettsteele.com.
