Hugh Brock Hugh Brock, 62, of Corbin, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was born in Stoney Fork, KYon August 21, 1946 a son of Homer Brock and the late Ida Forester Brock. He was the owner of Brock Excavating and a farmer. A U.S. Marines corps Vietnam Veteran, Hugh served from 1966 until 1968 and earned the rank of E5 Sergeant
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Hatfield Brock, Parents-in-law, Thelma Hatfield and Joe Hatfield, Jr., sister-in-law, Sherry Hatfield and aunt, Patty Helton.
Survivors include his son, Steven Hugh Brock and his wife, Melinda, two grandsons, Joshua Steven Hugh Brock and Dylan Michael Joseph Brock, father, Homer Brock, sister and brothers, Janis and Tom White of Salt Lake City, Utah, Charles Ray Brock of Corbin, Ernest and Diane Brock of Auburn Hills, MI and Gary and Cheryl Brock of Stoney Fork, KY; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Janelle Hatfield of Pineville, aunts and uncles, Mae and Gene Lawson of Stoney Fork, Hugh Helton of Harrogate, TN, Lilly May Hubbard and Sudie Marie Wine, both of Fort Wayne, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Information
Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Bush and Rev. Don Messer. Music will be by the Calvary Chapel Singers.
Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery, Pineville. Military honors will be presented by the U.S. Marines.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday and from 1 PM until the funeral hour Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville
