Hattie Mae Belcher Dean Hattie Mae Belcher Dean, 91, of Pineville past away on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Bell County on April 8, 1917 a daughter of the late Carl Belcher and Mary Elizabeth Wilson Belcher Gibson. She was a member of East Jellico Baptist Church and retired as Postmaster of Tinsley Post Office after 28 years of service.
In addition to her parents and other family members she was preceded in death by her husband, William S. “Bill” Dean of whom she married on February 5, 1938.
She is survived by her children, Gail Dean Gambrell and husband Eugene of Pineville, Carl S. Dean and wife Darlene of Corbin and Dwight E. Dean and wife Charlene of Miami, AZ; grandchildren, David Gambrell, Steve Dean, Matt Dean, Greg Dean and Shana Dean; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; special friend, Geneva Slusher and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Information
Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 28 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ron Howard officiating. Music will be by Evelyn Goodin. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charles J. Dean, Larry McGaffee, Bill Ward McGaffee, Johnny Gambrel, Danny Gambrel and Dan Gambrel. Honorary Pallbearers are Cecil Slusher, Larry Cinnamon, Dr. Emanuel H. Rader and Dr. Shawn Fugate.
