Gladys Brock North

Gladys Marie Brock North, age 69, of Harrogate, Tennessee, formerly of Pineville, departed this life on Monday, August 9, 2010 at her home. She was born in Clay County, KY on May 14, 1941, a daughter of the late Isaac and Margaret Stewart Hubbard. She believed in the holiness faith and had been a teacher for Bell Whitley. Gladys touched the hearts of everyone she met.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her late husband, George North; siblings, Ingrid Robertson, Florence Smith, Carl Hubbard, Lawrence Hubbard, Hobert Hubbard; daughter-in-law, Glenda Brock.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Johnny Brock, Janice and James Bailey, Henrietta and David Ellison, Wanda Chaney, Ricky Brock; grandchildren, Steven Bailey, Serena Basil, Keith Brock, Aaron Ellison, Nicky Brock, Nicole Bailey, Tim Chaney, Chris Chaney; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Seth Bailey, Cassie and Bradley Brock, Riley and Caden Brock, Blake Ellison, Griffin Basil, Skylar and Caleb Chaney; siblings, Isaac Jr. Hubbard, Hester Davis, Della Hubbard, Beulah Mae Hubbard and a host of, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 1 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Neal. Burial will be in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Donations are appreciated to Arnett & Steele Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

The family will receive friends after 12 noon until funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the North Family.
