Laura Hill

Laura Hill, 93, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Cubbage on January 6, 1915 a daughter of the late J.W. “White” and Maggie Kersey Cox. She was a member of the Varilla Baptist Church and had been a mother and homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, William Gordan Greene and Bill Hill, brothers and sisters, Hassie Daniels, Ellie Wright, Mary Wilder, Granville Cox, John B. Cox, Sam Cox, Linda Jane Taylor and Geneva Wilder.

Survivors include her children, Delores and the late Marvis Hall of Dandridge, TN, Paul and the late Judy Greene of Hulen and Bobby and Frankie Greene of Calloway; grandchildren, Debbie Hunter, Paula and husband, Dennis Hardin, Danny and wife, Donna Greene, Billy and wife, DeeDee Greene, Tammy Greene, Jackie Greene, Bobby Greene, Jr., Susan and husband, Michael Bryant; great-grandchildren, Brittany Hunter, Justin Stewart, Cody Greene, Megan Greene, Brooke Greene, Shelby Greene, Ryan Hoskins, Lee Hardin, Amanda Bradley, April Sturgill, Decina and husband, Eric Montano and Jaynia Allen; great-great-grandchild, Chase Adkins; sister, Dona Storms of Mansfield, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 8 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. David Howard and Rev. Terrell Gibson. Music will be by Jeff Tingle.
Burial will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Taylor Cemetery at Calloway. Pallbearers will be Danny Greene, Billy Greene, Justin Stewart, Brian Hoskins, Dennis Harding and John Sturgill. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Steven Morgan and the Personnel of ARH Home Health of Middlesboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
