Mrs. Geneva Cox Wilder

December 16, 1926 - August 03, 2007

Geneva Cox Wilder, 80, of Blackmont, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee, Knoxville, TN. She was born in Cubbage, KY on December 16, 1926, the daughter of the late J.W. (White) and Margaret Kersey Cox. She was a member of the Moss Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #89 of Pineville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Hassie Daniels, Ellie Wright, Mary Wilder, Granville Cox, John B. Cox, Sam Cox and Linda Jane Taylor.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Arnold Wilder of Blackmont
, children and their spouses, Daryle and Vickie Wilder of Pineville, Arnold, Jr. and Libby Wilder of Pineville, Carolyn Sue and Terrell Gibson of Pineville, Patsy Gilbert of Hulen, Beatrice and Ronnie Gambrel of Hulen and Sharon Gail and Keith Barton of Middlesboro; thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Dona Storms of Mansfield, OH and Laura Hill of Pineville, special sister-in-law and her husband, Betty and Paul McGeorge and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Paul B. Gibson and Rev. David Howard. Music will be by Denise Trosper and Mike Gulley.

Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery at Tanyard Hill. Pallbearers will be Michael Gambrel, Richard Wilder, Allen W. Gilbert, Trevor Barton, Brent Barton, Jeremiah Gibson and Joshua Collins.
