Leland Dishman

Leland Dishman, 72, of Calvin, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2008 at his home. He was born in Crockett, KY on June 3, 1936, the son of the late James Edward and Ellen Clouse Dishman. He had been a foreman for the N.G. Gilbert, Heath and Aspluni Tree Companies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deirdre Ann Dishman, brothers, Claude and McKinley Dishman and sister, Willa Jean Lawson.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorcas Sturdivant Dishman, children, Steve Dishman of Pineville, Kyle Dishman and wife, Carol, of Livingston and Deborah Maggard of Calvin; grandchildren, Ryan Dishman, Paul Wayne Miracle, Jr., Shaun Miracle, Penny Dishman, Whitney Dishman, Samantha Lewis, Ashley Lewis, Jamie Reese and Jacob Greene; seven great-grandchildren, brother, Charles Dishman of Paris, KY, sisters, Nettie Brock of Pineville and Georgia and Lewis Brock of Pineville; special friends, Pearl Brock, Thomas Hicks and J.C. Lawson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Herron.

Burial will be in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Steve Dishman, Shaun Miracle, Paul Miracle, Jr., Brandon Bishop, Steve Reese, Brandon Miracle and Shaun Reese. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Page Pentecostal Church and Dr. Patel.
