Lonnie Dale Banks Lonnie Dale Banks, 77, of Arjay, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Campton, KY on April 16, 1931, the son of the late Shadie and Lula Perry Banks. He retired from the United States Army and had served during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Anna Mae Taylor Banks, brothers and sisters, Ralph, Jeanette, Birtha, Landoe and Daniel.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Lonnie, Jr. and Jackie Banks, Raymond and Alma Banks, Constance and Shorty Teague, Pam and Glen Garlitz, Linda and L.D. Rogers, Barbara and Gary Lewis, Connie Banks, Tonya Adams, Wayne Forrester and Pattie Ann; grandchildren, Jill, Tara, Mellissa, Shannon, Keith, Nikki, Steven, Alex, Kim, Julie, Ryan, Jennifer, Foster, Calleigh, Lucas, Tyra, Caveni, Derrick and Ricky; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Etta O'Hare, Edith White, Edvertte Banks, Ethel Hackett, Clayton Banks and Shady Banks and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Information
Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Gary Lewis.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
