Edna GambrelBowman Edna Gambrel Bowman, 69, of Pineville, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born in Bell County, KY on November 5, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ethel Smith Gambrel. She was a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Worship Center and had been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alonzo “Lefty” Gambrel.
Survivors include her children, Diana Cox and husband, James, Bobby Bowman and wife, Dinah and Jerry Bowman; grandchildren, Erica Danielle Allen, Emily Grace Cox, Abbie Elizabeth Cox and Tiffany Marie Bowman; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Phyllis and Lester Adkins, Lee and Barbara Gambrel, Ronnie and Beatrice Gambrel and Rosa Lee and Austin Norfleet and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Information
A Celebration of her life will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Kersey. Music will be by Lisa Kersey.
At Ms. Bowman’s request, she was cremated.
The family will receive friends from 11 until the service hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville.
