John Richard McCoy, Jr. John Richard McCoy, Jr., 41, of Frakes, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at his home. He was born May 4, 1968, the son of John Richard and Wanda Green McCoy. He believed in the Pentecostal faith and had worked as a Superintendant for Green’s Construction Company. John loved hunting and fishing and being out with nature.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Rutherford.
Survivors include his parents, John and Wanda McCoy; children, Jonathan Patterson, Joshua Overton; special children, Dillon Knuckles and Chassidy Knuckles; sister, Tonya Renee Simpson and husband, Steve; nieces and nephews, Steve Simpson, Jr., Matthew Simpson, Andrew Simpson, Angel Simpson, Michael Rutherford, Joshua Rutherford; special friends, Denise Knuckles, Tonya Patterson McCoy, Steve Taylor, Doug Rose, Clarence Hall, Jr., Michael Rutherford, Sr. and Jeff Rutherford, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Information
Services will be at 2 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Houston presiding. Burial will be at Hickory Flats Cemetery in Pineville. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Steve Morgan, Clarence Hall, Sr. and Virgil Rose.
