Charles Lindbergh Goodin, 80, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at his home. He was born in Fourmile on July 4, 1927 to the late Evie and Esther Laws Goodin. He retired in 1988 from the Commonwealth of KY Health Services. Charles was a member of the Bell Masonic Lodge #691 and the Kentucky Public Health Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Goodin.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Emma Carolyn Moore Goodin, children, Michael Thomas Goodin of Fourmile, Charles Stephen “Bo” Goodin and wife, Lisa of Middlesboro, Donna Suzanne Bargo and husband, Matt, II of Corbin and Katie Joan Parker and husband, Philip of Marion, KY; eight grandchildren, Johnna Lynn Fleming, David Goodin, Rebecca DeHoag and husband, Chris, Dr. Matthew Bargo, III, Amy Jo Goodin, Barry Goodin and wife, Jerri Kay, Christi Carter and husband, Steven and Philip G. Parker, seven great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Marie Goodin, niece and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Denvil Taylor and Rev. Kirk Hall. Burial will be in the Goodin Cemetery at Fourmile. Pallbearers will be Matthew Bargo, III, Chris DeHoag, David Michael Goodin, James K. Goodin, Joel T. Goodin, Colby Slusher, J.D. Strange, Mike White and Bill Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Dale Bond, Harry Bruner, Elwood Combs, Johnny Greene, Shirley Goodin, Jim Moore, Dewey Morgan, Dr. Steve Morgan, James Pearman and Ford Wilson.
