Laura Helton Caldwell “Granny,” age 57, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Beverly, KY on May 8, 1950 the daughter of Martha Saylor Helton and the late Grant Helton. She believed in the Baptist Faith and had worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken and Long’s Pic Pac in Pineville.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, France Helton.

Survivors include her children, Mark Hoskins of Pineville, Melinda and Eugene Hensley of Richmond, Katie and Vern Taylor of Pineville, Robert and Cheri Caldwell of Pineville, Lisa and Austin Redmon of Middlesboro and Nikki Caldwell of Pineville; grandchildren, Allen and Michael Hoskins, Jacob and Josh Hensley, Kaitlyn and Danielle Taylor, John and Hannah Belcher and Bobby Ryan Lawson; mother, Martha Helton, sisters, Sarah Goff and husband, Ray and Irene Wynn and brother, George Helton and wife, Christine; fathers of her children, Bobby Caldwell of Pineville and Archie Hoskins of Middlesboro; special friends include the KFC Family, the Long’s Pic Pac Family, Dr. C.A. Moore, Dr. T.V. Hays, Dr. Brenda Pittman and her canine companion, Joe and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 3 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Dr. William Boyd Bingham, III. Special music will be by her daughter, Lisa Redmon.

Burial will be in the Ben’s Branch Cemetery at Stoney Fork, KY. Pallbearers will be Mark Hoskins, Robert Caldwell, Vern Taylor, Austin Redmond, Allen Hoskins, Michael Hoskins, Jacob Hensley, Josh Hensley, John Belcher and Brian Goff. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Asher and Eugene Hensley.
