Mr. Paul Doan

May 21, 1925 - July 10, 2010

Paul Doan, 85 of Harrogate, TN, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate. He was born in Verda, Kentucky on May 21, 1925 a son of the late George and Lura Hamby Doan. Paul was a Veteran of the United States Army, a member of East Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church in Middleboro, the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and had retired as an agent for Commonwealth Life Insurance Company.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother s, G.P., Jack, Verdan and Ray Doan and a sister, Rosemary Staggers.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Ruby Doan of Harrogate; children and their spouses, Kevin and Sharon Doan of Harlan and Earnest Paul and Lisa Doan of Owensboro; step-children and their spouses, Paul Allen Ball of Middlesboro, Kathy and Jason Taylor of Pineville and Donald and Jodi Ball of Jonesville, VA; sisters, Eloise D. Harris of Louisville and Wanda Gross of Verda and a brother, Clayton Doan of Verda; grandchildren, Kellianne Doan, Ashley Doan, Angela Mayes and Richard Doan; step-grandchildren, Christy Bargo, Cindy Childers and D.J. Ball; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.

Funeral Information

Masonic Services will be at 8PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville and graveside services will be 10AM Tuesday at Resthaven Cemetery in Loyall with Rev. Mitch Bradshaw. Pallbearers will be Jay Walker, Norman Ferguson, Danny Luttrell, James Dunn, Paul Ball and Jason Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. C.A. Moore, Dr. Robert Thomas and Dr. Niten Patel.
