Mrs. Janet Ilene Fuller Brock
January 16, 1932 - July 29, 2009
Janet Brock Janet Ilene Fuller Brock, 77 of Pineville, formerly of Oakwood, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at her home on Clear Creek. She was born at home on the Paulding and Putnam County line in Ohio on January 16, 1932 a daughter of the late Lloyd R. and Mable Hahn Fuller. Janet was a long time member of the Auglaize Chapel Church of God in Oakwood, OH and also a member of the Straight Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville. She attended Auglaize Brown Local Schools and graduated from Continental High School in 1950. Janet had worked at the Tent Factory, Huff and Puff Restaurant and Shisler Locker Meat Company in Oakwood, OH. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed attending Shriners functions with her husband, Reed. Janet loved gardening, volunteering and her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, James Orville, Melvin Lloyd and Shawn James and a sister, Nancy Schultz.
Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Reed Brock of Pineville; daughter, Wendy Stephey and husband, William of Paulding, OH; grandchildren, Billie Jo Etchison and husband, Jason of Defiance, OH and Michael Stephy and wife, Ginger of Arcanum, OH; brother, Robert Fuller of Defiance, OH; sister, Ruthann Dockery and husband, John of Defiance, OH; aunt, Ruby Hahn of Continental, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Information
Services will begin at 8 PM on Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville with the Order of the Eastern Star and funeral service to follow with Rev. James Ward and Rev. Wayland Mason. Music will be by the Straight Creek Missionary Baptist Church Choir and Rev. James Ward.
A graveside service will be at 12 PM Monday in the Sherman Cemetery in Browns Township, OH with Rev. Denny Hunter. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Martha Combs-Woolum and all of Janet and Reed’s many close friends.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville and from 5 until 8PM Sunday at the Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home in Oakwood, OH.
