Georgia King Georgia Ellen Hensley King, 86 of Middlesboro, formerly of Harlan, passed away Sunday, February 24 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on September 9, 1921 a daughter of the late George Washington and Annie Edwards Hensley at Grays Knob in Harlan County and until the age of 72, she lived her life within a ten mile radius of her birthplace. She was a dedicated wife and mother, a believer in the Baptist faith and had been a cook for many years for the Harlan County School System.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilson Lee Murdock; her second husband, Lawrence King; and one son, George William Murdock.
Survivors include her children, Lawrence King, II of Baden, PA, James Wayne King of Belleville, MI and Estelita Dean of Pineville, KY and there families, including nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, loved ones and friends.
Funeral Information
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 1 at 2 PM at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery in Loyall, KY.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville which is in charge of arrangements. Guestbook at www.arnettsteele.com.
