Paul I. Gipson

August 11, 1931 - July 29, 2010

Paul I. Gipson, 78, of Fayetteville, WV formerly of Stoney Fork, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Fayetteville Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Rainelle, WV on August 11, 1931, he was the son of the late Melvin and Mildred Cole Gipson. Paul had been a member of the Stoney Fork Community Pentecostal Church, where he was an active church member. He had been a coal miner and had also moved houses.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Martin and brother, Harry Gipson and the mother of his children, Lorene Knuckles.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Kathy and Brian Withrow, Irving and Angela Gipson and Paul Caleb and Janice Gipson; grandchildren, Amber Gipson, Ameilia Gipson, Gretchen Gipson, Kristy (Tommy) Chapman, Damien (Audrey) Saylor, Elisabeth Caldwell and Joshua Caleb Gipson; great-grandchildren, Chloe Gipson, Dylan Chapman and Andrew Chapman; sisters, Alma Hill and Margaret Cruse and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 8:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Lowe. Music will be by Lester and Louise Saylor.

Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Gipson Family.
